RE: frige won't run on propane

Make sure your battery voltage is good. The ignitor will not work below 10.5 volts same with your furnace :( JIM

RE: 1997 ford v 10 Engine no power

This question is for(carringb) Bryan if you have or had an overheat condition that was not cleared or taken care of and the engine went into a limp mode or whatever Ford calls it it would shut down I believe it's 4 cylinders to pump air to keep the engine cool. This would alow you to get off the road safely with minimal power and if you continue to drive too long the computer would shut the engine down to save the engine. Might it be possible this is what he is has although the lights and guages would flash and it would be a different code. Just food for thought!!!!!!!!!! JIM

RE: Too high or too short?

I got the one for the tag because the windshield tag didn't work all the time with the cabover. I live in MD and all I did was pay the deposit for it and I don't have any commercial account or a monthly fee I guess every state works it their own way, and yes we all have had the same problem with reaching for the ticket that's why I use E-Z-PASS. RE: Mold dots on exterior?

I think that corncob hit the nail on the head with the artillery mold. My wife parked a new mini van at one of the Marylands park and ride lots and it got covered with this stuff from the wood mulch that was used around the trees and bushes. Yes it's very hard to remove. JIM

RE: Coachmen not working on battery power

Another place or thing to check is your breakers to the left of your battery. I had one go bad in my 1999 Coachmen after replacing my converter. I believe there are three of them there and some have a manual reset or they may reset after they cool down. After they get heated up I replace them just as a preventive measure. Hope this is of some help...... JIM

Yep we all do it's the nature of the beast. Some have added more insulation to the engine cover underside. Do a search there is a lot of information and ideas on it. JIM

RE: Rubber trim won't stay in track

"WOW" This must be a common problem with them all. I repaired mine about 2 yrs ago and did the same as said before loosened it up and put a screw in it Good To Go Now. I do think this stuff shrinks with age and or it's pulled too tight when first installed at the factory. I had to replace the piece along the roof line last year as it shrunk a good 2 inches.:M JIM

RE: Underframe tire carrier or ?

Like Bryan said the E-Series vans did have a tire hoist system under them but when they put the house on certain ones had to have them taken off due to the house set up underneath. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones my Coachmen has it.

RE: They Got Me!!!

Sorry to hear that. We have the same problem in Maryland at the park and ride lots. When you leave your car or truck when you get back you will be missing your converter. Most of the time they take it from trucks or SUVs easier to get under and as said more money for the larger converters. The best thing about this is that the lots are patrolled by Maryland's finest because their state property and it still happens. Good Luck!!!!!!!!!!! JIM

RE: E350 Vent and Air Conditioning

gasman120 hit the nail on the head. I would also check the vacuum lines as well as the vacuum reservoir probably something simple to fix it's just finding the problem, loose or cracked line or the line came off. Remember the old vacuum wipers they would stop going up hill because of vacuum loss that's why they came out with the vacuum reservoir to be able to hold enough vacuum for going up the hills and to operate other vacuum controls. Hope you figure it out. JIM

RE: Have you plan not to travel as much this year?

I will do as much camping just keeping it closer to home. I plan on going to our State Parks with the same group of people and we have some nice parks in Maryland. I have found we have as much fun doing that than putting on the miles on the long distance trips. JIM

RE: Battery corrosion on used class c purchase

This is not normal. Have the person or company take care of the cleaning and check the water level in all the batteries and put spray coating battery terminals. Sounds like they could have boiled out the water, mabe overcharging. JIM

RE: Doghouse storage compartment variety?

Ebay has two right now ($25 & $29) in gray, holding 4 drinks and has the lower bin. Search "Ford Van Console" on Ebay
Ron is correct about finding them on E-Bay. Make sure you read the description about the ash tray some come with it and some don't (they all should but don't)It looks funny without the ash tray because the console is set up for it. I changed mine about 4 months ago and my copilot loves me for it. It even takes up less room than the useless thing that you and I have in our Coachmen. You can install in less than 5 mins. That's a great deal on E-Bay that's where I got mine. Good Luck, JIM

RE: wet floor

Buy the way your explaining things it sounds like something in the shower is leaking or cracked. It could be the faucet, water line to the faucet or the drain elbow in the shower floor could have cracked. I would open the access panel to the faucet as well as the access panel to the shower drain and check for leaks one at a time. If you don't have an access panel somehow your going to have access to the shower plumbing. Hope this helps....... JIM

RE: Cruise Control Recall Again !!!

I had mine done about a month ago for the 2nd time and was also told by the tech that it wasn't a permanent fix and to be prepared for yet another recall. :h I feel pretty safe since they added a fusible link in case of a problem it should cut off the ignition source. Now we wait for the real fix. From what they say the real problem is the brake switch, well hello, how hard is it to figure out a fix for that one.:S JIM
